Metaldays Thursday 27.07.2017 Day-4
After long sleep even still tired but it makes not possible to get some more sleep because the sunlight through into my tent it was warm. another side was great to get some fresh air in the morning while enjoying to see the amazing view from our camping ground. time to get shower and breakfast before leaving the camping ground.
Before moving to stage ground we went to beach ground because only that place is still alive. Like, as usual, there is a lot of activity you can do like yoga sports drawing or get some relax to see the nice Soca river view.
From Beach ground, we move to Second stage (Boško Bursać Stage) with Gust the Hardcore punk band from Trollhättan, Sweden. The opening band on the fourth day of Metaldays. The unique style of mixes crust rhythmics with hardcore verve without the result sounding somehow dully. 30 minute long was great enough to get us wake up a great band to warm up in the early noon.
Continued with the second band the Post-apocalyptic Heavy Metal from Norwegian Chontaraz. The band inspired by the aggression of Dimmu Borgir, the compelling elements of Rammstein and the epic elements of Sabaton. Epic metal meets modern riffing, gruff vocals go hand in hand with excellent cleans and a heavy, dark atmosphere is accentuated by some great melodies. even there were not so many people are joined.
Time to get some food and of course Beers before we moving to the main stage to see the opening band. Nemost French melodic death metal. The band was formed in 2005 by bringing out two albums. simple and catchy riffs mixed with some black metal element. Technicality and melody coupled with the raw death metal aggression. seem all the audience enjoys full keep staying with them until the end the show.
Cobra and the Lotus Heavy Metal from Canada. The band formed in 2009 by singer “Kobra Paige”, the drummer is the only other member who has been a part of the band from the beginning. The band sound kind like modern power metal for a power metal crowd. The band demonstrates its power metal credentials with slick. They promoted their recent release “Prevail I”, the first of two to come out this year. During the show, they are always in contact with the audience and the audience also sing along with them together. They are good both in terms of music and stage performances.
Move to the New Forces Stage before we reach the second stage to pursue Melodic Death Metal from Niederrhein, Bettlesword from Germany. It was pretty much a crowd at that time at the New Forces Stage waiting for the show to start. The band was formed in 1999 and has already issued out two Demos and two full albums. in their show is very good, they can make the audience entertained and survive until the end of the show. was a blast to see them.
Quickly back to the second stage to joined see the Goregrind band from Netherland Goregrind Rectal Smegma. Formed in 2003 under the name Carnal Rancidity, One of the most successful goregrind in the extream metal scene has been out on the road to South Europe with Rompeprop and once through central Europe with Cliteater and Rompeprop on the Goregrind over Europe tour. The band very entertaining time for the audience to get party time before the show is begin was already crowded at second stage which a lot kind of unique outfit with a lot of stuff is flying in the air. The big circle pit is begun following with continued crowd surf was total chaos at the moment at second stage ground.
Back to the main stage there six guys from Andorra Spain the Progressive Death Metal band Persefone ready begin the show, The band’s name is derived from Persephone, a figure in Greek Mythology, the band was formed in 2001. THe band sound kind like deeply influenced by the ’90s melodeath, progressive black and prog scenes including. Great singer always moves into right and left the stage by the second song he went down the stage meet the face to face with the audience. was tight, precise and energetic performance.
Back to the second stage to see an Australian Deathcore band from Brisbane, which was founded in 2010 Aversions Crown. They weave the cool parts of Deathcore into an interestingly atmospheric form of melodic Death Metal which influenced by a lot of modern and classic death metal bands. Groovy with The atmospheric undertones with those soaring breakdowns and heavy modern sound which faster double bass drum mix with blast speed beats completely great mixed.
Next is Raven English heavy metal band associated with the new wave of British heavy metal movement. The band was formed in 1975 in Newcastle, England, by brothers John and Mark Gallagher, and Paul Bowden. The band’s highly energized live show and interaction between band members developed a unique image and style of play. with youthful energy and move which switching place between the guitar and bass player and it never stop, at the moment I was thinking where the 3 guys got suck of energy.
Continue with Blues Pills at the main stage the Blues Pills. Honestly, I even don’t know this band just hear shortly I hear that they play kind like 60’s and 70’sclasic rock it was true what I was though before, great mixed with old and modern elements sound. they are a great musician whit full energy singer with barefoot all over the stage, their energy got the crowd dancing, moving, jump around seem all the audience are enjoyed the show.
We left their set a bit early and went to the second stage to catch the next band Bömbers Motörhead tribute band from Bergen, Norway. Featuring Abbath (ex-Immortal) on bass/vocals Tore Bratseth (ex-old Funeral) on guitar and Pez (Punishment Park) on drums. At the beginning, I did not realize that the vocal/bast player are Olve Eikemo as knowing the guitar player from Abbath was played the day before at the main stage. Their set was comprised mainly of the band’s greatest hits including “No Class”, “Iron Fist”, “Killed by Death” and “Ace of Spades”, as expected. It surprised me which makes a great job to capture Lemmy’s voice and his stage presence down to every minute detail. as well as the audience are enjoyed to hearing all hits of Motörhead.
Back to the main stage on the time at the main stage already crowded waiting for the headline for the fourth day of Metaldays. Opeth, the Progressive Death Metal from Stockholm, Swedish were getting ready to perform. which opening song take from the latest album “Sorceress” followed by the classic “Ghost of Perdition”. the sound was great to come out in every each of instrument. but suddenly there was some technicians problem on the pedalboard of Mikael’s about 20 minutes the technicians try to fix the issue. Mikael assuring the audience that these things happen and that they’re working on a solution and Fredrik jamming on his guitar to keep the audience entertained. Finally. Mikael borrowed a spare board from Fredrik and the show was on again. i have been seen them many times in some another festival open air they always great in live performance.
Finally the last band at the second stage Sólstafir, Post-Metal/Rock from Icelandic. formed in 1995. The band’s name is the Icelandic word for crepuscular rays. I saw them for 2 years ago. Their unique blend of metal with beautiful melodies, psychedelic moments and a strong undercurrent of classic / hard rock comes as varied and at times appealingly bizarre as the landscapes of their native Iceland. these fellows delivered an incredible, emotional performance to a packed Boško Bursać Stage. The band’s hour-long set seemed to hit a chord with the audience, as the small stage sounded incredibly loud throughout the set. The atmosphere was highly positive, their signature depressive sound acting like a negative emotion filter. During their last song, Addi Tryggvason went down into the crowd, holding hands with the excited audience as he sung through “Goddess of the Ages” before bidding the crowd farewell
I was glad now is done time for us get relaxing after long day work. that was not easy to deal with a lot of bands which playing with a different stage like today we moved from the second stage into mainstage and new forces stage. but it was amazing show a lot of great bands today some we already knew and some are we just know was great experience today wait for the next day the last day of Metaldays.

While waiting for the first band we just grab a coffee sitting in second stage ground. there all the stage crow seem busy prepare stuff for the band. view minute after that soundcheck are done it means the party of second days at Metalday ready to start with Melodic Death Metal band from Hannover Germany The Black Court. The Band was quite impressive which groovy riffs, double bass, and heavy sound were perfect mix together. great performance even at the beginning was not so much audience show up after view song is more and more audience show up.
Following by next band Transceatla the Progressive Rock & Metal. Transceatla from Romania with its comfortable progressive numbers provide a relaxed atmospheric mood, which many of variables sound. you can hear up and down there in the song the composition, which great mix between clean and harsh vocal very interested mixing which clearly Technical Death and Progressive Death.
Netherland band, For I’m King a Metal band, which headed by frontwomen. great musician which melodious heavy riffs and double bass. catchy, groovy and a lot of break down part. their mixture of modern elements and folk, sound more into Melodic Death Metal/Metalcore. great vocal technic and very aggressive and an outstanding live performance was great to see them all long the show.
Back to the Main stage (Lemmy Kilmister) stage to catch up the first band Dead End the Death Doom Metal from Netherlands, one of the old Death Metal band in Netherland which 2 demos released in 1990 and 1991 were at the beginning they more into Death Metal which switched into Doom Death. even they are an offering from a record label but some of them can’t make it because of study. great live performance
Back to the Second stage to join with of Speed Metal and Thrash Metal fans, it was a big crowd full of the audience wait for the show begin. Evil Invaders. After success full with touring around Europe they are here join us at the second stage of Metaldays. The band is quite known in the extreme metal scene. Which very energy live show, virtuosity style, and aggression. high screaming following excellent chugging riffs and breakneck drumming. Delivering a big circle pit during the show which always try to keep contact with the audience. was a great performance which great stage show.
The Austria Symphonic Metal band Visions of Atlantis headed by female fronted. Which influence of two a success Symphonic Metal bands Lacuna Coil and Nightwish. The music ranges from a fast paced melodic style of power metal slowed down to a more gothic inspired sound which melodic guitar lines twining alongside piano segments. great female and male vocal team combination. Was great performance even at that time only a few of audience, of course, it sadly for the band but they still keep and give the best show to the audience.
About 20 minutes break you make hearing the sound check for the next band at the main stage, at the same time seem looks like rain will be coming soon there a huge black cloud from behind the mountains come slowly to us. only a few minutes after, started a raining mixt wind the weather change very faster. usually, the next band will be hit the main stage is Krisiun but that not possible for them stated the show because of rain wind and thunder. about one hour after the Sanctuary, we just hear the sound from far it make not possible for to take the photos because of bad weather. we just thought Krisium are canceled. after we get some info that the band schedule is a change which Krisium will play for the last band at second stage replace a band is a chancel (Kadavar).
As the rain stop and the sky are a bit clear there at main stage five guys from Sweden Katatonia, ready to rock calling out the audience into the Lemmy Kilmister Stage. It was a few years ago since the last time I saw. But this day seems they quite meaningless for me. even they are quite sympathetic and also the announcements are kept friendly, there is something missing from them.
Back to the second stage which the Polish black metal band Mgla hit the stage. the audience were going crazy as the four guys saw up, which identical unique costumes with covering their head with black nylon. There is a contrast between absolute emptiness and catchy riffs where one wants to leave, which brings the music so clearly, which in turn makes the band so special in the scene. With their unique style, although their set was varied and great live performance.
Amon Amarth who don’t know this band one of the folk band is successful in their scene. The Swedes are starting their melodic death metal show with “The Pursuit of Vikings” whose powerful reef is actively sung by the audience. Trading their old, raw melodic death metal sound for a stripped down, slightly more aggressive traditional heavy metal sound imbued with growling vocals. very tight sound and catchy guitar riffs and double-bass drum and groovy there more Death metal element in every each track from them. Great the full of Viking’s decoration on the stage Their drum set was sitting upon an imposing Viking helmet surrounded by the platform look really amazing. they are really perfect in every detail which impressive fireworks and pyrotechnics. Meanwhile, they’re down the stage the audience is going crazy bring most of the fans floats towards the stage continually till the end the show. It’s fun to watch them live performance and a great performance.
Time for the trio guys from Brazil the Brutal Death Metal band from Brazil. hit the second stage for the last band. At the beginning, they were a four-piece for a very short period of time before deciding that they worked better as a three-piece after Mauricio Nogueira left. formed in 1990, by three brothers. I have been seeing them live show a several time. Krisiun ensures by his brutal death so characteristic, blending blast beats bursts that can be assimilated to submachine guns coming from the favelas and riffs. However, the majority of the audience appreciate this little interlude and welcomes with joy the recall, consisting of a cover of Motörhead (‘Ace of Spades’) bring the audience join singing together was amazing and blast to see them this evening here at the second day of Metaldays 2017.

Metaldays Wednesday 26.07.2017 Day-3
Finally, the sun is come up, it was great for use to make dry our clothes and some stuff. since 2 days we had bad weather today, unfortunately, we can see the great few of the mountain from our camping ground how beautiful this place. time for us got to Tolmin town buy some stuff and also get breakfast and back to camping ground to take our stuff and we went to the Beach ground to some photos.
Was full of people at the moment are doing some sport and yoga or relax sitting on the beach ground watching the beautiful few of Soca river. about 2 hours we were hanging out at Beach ground we move to press tent.
Second stage (Boško Bursać Stage) time to catch the Doom Metal band from Italy Grime. The slow and heavy groove is filthy and vicious, guitar riffs are sharp and covered with rust, drums and bass hit with the unstoppable power of a mud avalanche which old-school dirty sound and very heavy sound. The trio guys from Italy bring great packet for the opening band it makes crowded enough for the first band.
Next still at second stage (Boško Bursać Stage) SRD the Black Metal from Muska Sobat, Ljubljana, Slovenia hit the stage. It was surprising which great show, mostly the Black Metal band are the same Guitar sound but this one is different they had own sound. The band is mixed between Black and Rock & Roll ( Black & Rol). Great to warm up the audience bring to the next level.
Shotdown the Speed /Heavy Metal band from Slovenia. I’m not really into speed or heavy metal band but another side most of Speed/ heavy metal band are great musician especially the Guitar player which unbelieve fable faster solo and very aggressive. Anyway always great to know some new band all over around the world. great performance and tight sound.
Move to Mainstage ( Lammy Kilmister Stage). to catch the opening band on third days of Metaldays. Slovenia Progressive Death Metal Djent Morywa means noise. which modern sound which combines different subgenres of extreme metal with a lot of low-tuned grooves and meaty riffage.was interesting never hear them before. was great live performance even at the time was lest the audience was annoyed to see them.
After view minutes break time for Norwegian heavy metal band Triosphere. Which frontwomen and bass player”Ida Haukland” she was founded Triosphere and the guitarist “Marius Silver Bergesen” in 2014. Both of them who most composer the song which heavy metal sound mixed with progressive elements it can be said progressive heavy metal. They experiment with mixing elements in the genre; melodic, energetic, aggressive and technical. with full of the energy of live performance.
Finally, the Time to get a party with grindcore band from the Czech Republic Gutalax.where they also played last year at second stage which bing most of the audience at the second stage. now at mainstage (Lammy Kilmister stage). Where on that time more and more audience entering the mainstage ground most of them wearing is color full and funny costume. even they are not starting yet but there already crowded which a lot of toilet paper flying around. after view pink toilet paper flying from the main stage, the party is started. following big circle pit and crowd surfing all of the audience is going crazy anything flew in the air. like toilet paper, toilet brushes, dildos and ball. This band has become quite the rage in the goregrind circles. Additionally mixing brutal death metal a la slam parts in the goregrind template to make it boisterous and animated like giant bouncing boobs the music that’s simple, catchy and chunky. good for party music. one our was quick what of a massive show was enjoyed to see them all along the show.
Time for the Norway Black metal the legendary Immortal frontman, Abbath known as a founding member of the black metal band Immortal who was the lead vocalist, bassist, guitarist, keyboardist, drummer, and lyricist. Considered by many a kind of “joking” of Black Metal. That’s why he makes funny faces during performances whit face painting, demonic poses. The most of the black metal band acting are serious but he is a difference which always makes a funny face. in the middle of the show, he went down run up into the cliff just give hi5 and he was run down the hill and fall down, indeed he got up and came back among the victorious fans, and back to the stage to continue the show. I can’t stop laughing when I show that happen anyway was awesome show was entertaining not only me seems most all of the audience was enjoyed the show.
Before the next band comes up time to get some food and grab some more Beer and back to the main stage after view minutes soundcheck the Death Metal band from Swedia Bloodbath ready to lacerate in the early evening at mainstage of Metaldays. they are quality death metal in its old fashion combined with a new sound, this collective composed of members of Opeth, Katatonia and Witchery once included the likes of Dan Swanö and Mikael Akerfeldtgreeted. greeted the crowd with an arsenal of crushing riffs, tight rhythm and thundering vocals. I had seen two of their members, Jonas Renkse and Anders Nyström, was perform with Katationia yesterday. It was quite amusing seeing them in this band. His growling voice was on point, strong and energetic, and his witty remarks in between the songs lit up the crowd. Seems like the band has finally found a perfect fit. This evening they are playing very tight and full energy and powers and great show that I show them from last time in some another Festival Open Air.
The legendary German heavy metal Grave Digger. I’m not really into a Heavy Metal lover, but I like them because they are full of energy and very active on the stage always keep a contact with the audience. They gave their fans an energetic and professional show, ending with their two battle horses: Rebellion and Heavy Metal Breakdown involving the public at all times. Was crowded and great show was nice to see them.
Back to mainstage (Lammy Kilmister Stage) to catch the Headline on the third day of Metaldays. Legendary German Metal Queen Doro knew as “Doro Pesch”. She has been the 34-years-long career in Heavy Metal music and has been in many concerts all over around the world. Very energetic and very active on the stage and always keep contact with the audience. I don’t know so much about there but it was great to see the live performance and it was an absolutely relaxed atmosphere.
Back to the second stage which the last band gonna play, the Norwegian alternative, black metal, and jazz, Shining. I even don’t know this band before but it was interesting and surprise which many kinds of music element mixed together heavy riffs and blast beat drumming with saxophone and clean singing. Founded in 1999 as an acoustic jazz quartet in Oslo. Over time, the band’s style changed to a more experimental and extreme direction, influenced by Metal, Progressive Rock, and Classical music from the 19th and 20th centuries. Their music really got the crowd moving, jumping, moshing and dancing.
What for an amazing day today which a lot of great bands I have been seeing all long day also was perfect whether you make not be complaining about that. there are 2 more days to go. Before going to sleep we went to the beach party to get some relax sitting on beach river while hearing some music. here are never top the party whatever in which time you came here there’s always crowded.
